Obituary

Thomas Anthony BonDurant, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on May 19, 1948, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2026, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Beaumont. Officiating will be Father Steven Leger.

Thomas dedicated over 30 years of his career as an Employment Manager at Goodyear. After his retirement, he continued to embrace new experiences, working as a Bus Driver at Disney World, delivering new motorhomes for five years, and driving tour buses for eight years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a U.S. Navy Corpsman at Charleston Naval Hospital.

A faithful member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, Thomas found joy in his passions, which included a love for miniature trains and the companionship of his beloved dog, Shiner. He will be remembered for his loving spirit and his dedication to his family.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Robinson BonDurant; his daughters, Monica BonDurant Barnes and husband Tyler, and Rebecca BonDurant; his son, Col. Chad BonDurant and wife Angela; his cherished grandchildren, Avery Barnes, Cole Barnes, Beau BonDurant, Corbin BonDurant, and Jacob Chute. He also leaves behind his brother, Herb BonDurant, Jr.; eight nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nan and Herbert BonDurant, Sr.; and his siblings, Bill BonDurant, Mary Ann BonDurant Christian, and Joe BonDurant.

Cremation will be held under the direction of LaBrie Claybar Funeral Services.
