Charles Sterling Marie, Sr., 67, of Vidor, passed away on March 5, 2021, at the Medical Center of SETX.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Faith Assembly of God in Vidor. Officiating will be Reverend Don Goodwin and Reverend Jerry Smith. Burial will follow at Marie Cemetery in Vidor.

Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Faith Assembly of God in Vidor.

Born in Vidor, Texas, on November 7, 1953, he was the son of Lorenzo Vincent Marie and Charles Ethel (Hemmingway) Marie. Sterling loved the outdoors he was always fishing, hunting, boating, or riding his motorcycles. He was a family man through and through, always bringing his grandkids to ride four-wheelers, and spending as much time with them as possible. Sterling was of the Assembly of God Faith. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Vincent Marie and Charles Ethel Marie; and brother, Travis Marie.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Marie; children, Pamela Marie Pharris, Charles Sterling Marie, Jr. and wife Rachel, Steven Dewayne Marie and wife Amanda, Stephanie Ann Marie, Paul Zechman, Don Zechman, Chrissy Spence and husband Matt, Rosie Stokely; brothers, Robert Marie, Russell Marie; sisters, Betty Jean Smith, Kathryn Anthony, Martha “Susie” Hornback; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
