Reba Lee Crisp

Reba Lee Crisp, 88, of Beaumont passed away peacefully in her sleep July 23, 2015. Mrs. Crisp was born January 21, 1927 to Raymond and Lizzie Mae Underwood. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with a gathering of family and friends at Claybar Funeral Home Beaumont Friday from 6 – 8 p.m.

Married to the love of her life for 47 years Reba had 5 wonderful children, 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Reba was a high school athlete in Devers and showed leadership skills by being the captain of her basketball team.

After many years of being a mom, she went to work and retired from UTMB. Her love of crossword puzzles, hummingbirds and butterfinger candy bars was well known.

Mrs. Crisp is survived by her daughters, Lynette King, of Beaumont, Janette Kidd and her husband, Arnold, of Beaumont, Deborah Schmitz and her husband, Neal, of Lumberton, and Barbara Crisp, of Beaumont; son, David Crisp of San Francisco, California; daughter-in-love Joyce Overbey and her husband, Jimmy; 6 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed.
