Obituary
Namon Denson, Jr., 74, of Beaumont, passed away December 17, 2013 at Harbor Hospice after a brief illness. He was born October 10, 1939 in Beaumont to Namon Denson, Sr. and Retha Marie Scott Hayes.
Mr. Denson is survived by his children; Ernest Denson, of Beaumont, Norman Denson, Sr. and his wife, Tarrer, of Augusta, Georgia, Michael Denson, of Beaumont, Solomon Denson and his wife Laura, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Mark Denson, of Beaumont, Jacqueline Manuel, and her husband, Kenneth, of Beaumont, John Denson, Sr. and his wife, Jessica, of Beaumont, Aretha Denson, of Beaumont, Annie Williams, of Houston, and Yolanda West and her husband, Eddie of Houston; twenty-five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and 2 God-children, 1 step-brother and 2 step-sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Fannie Mae Cook Denson.
A celebration of Mr. Denson’s life is to be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Baptist Church with Reverend Harry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Anthony Cemetery. Mr. Denson was a veteran who served in the U. S. Army and will be buried with military honors provided by the Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group.
