Obituary

Mika Lea Monk, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 44.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 19, 2026, at LaBrie Claybar Funeral Services in Beaumont, Texas.

Visitation time will be held the evening prior from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 18, 2026, at LaBrie Claybar Funeral Services in Beaumont, Texas.

She was born on July 25, 1981, in Beaumont, Texas, to Michael Blanck and Melba Tanton. Mika dedicated her life to caring for others as a compassionate Registered Nurse. For the past three years, she embraced the adventure of traveling for her job, bringing her expertise and warm spirit to various communities. At home, Mika found immense joy in the kitchen, often inspired by her favorite cooking shows, and delighted in preparing delicious meals for her cherished family. An avid runner, she embraced an active lifestyle. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas.

Mika's loving memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband, James Monk, and her beloved sons, Reese Monk and Parker Monk. She is also survived by her father, Michael Blanck; her mother, Melba Tanton; and her sisters, Jennifer Hall and Felicia Maria Puente.

Mika was preceded in death by her dear sister, Cassandra, and her brother, Daniel. Her warm spirit and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
