Mary Darlene Fountain

Mary Darlene Fountain, 74, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on November10, 2023, peacefully at home.

Memorial gathering will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Claybar Kelly-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on May 18, 1949, she was the daughter of Lloyd Sherrill Rodgers, and Ruth Cornelius (Russell) Rodgers. Darlene worked at Market Basket for many years as a cashier. She was a member of Community Church in Orange for most of her life before later attending the Cowboy Church in Orange. Darlene enjoyed word search puzzles, reading, and playing with her puppies. She loved watching John Wayne movies and spending time with her best friends, Sheila Burleigh and Peggy James. Darlene truly loved being with her family more than anything. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ruth Rodgers; grandson, Aston Lee; and brother, David Rodgers.

She is survived by her son, Ronald J. Fountain, Jr. and wife, Christi; daughter, Tilena D. Fountain; grandchildren, Sierra Ford and husband, Wesley, Austin Lee, Jada Fountain, and Tyler Fountain; great-grandchildren, Kashlyn Ford, Kellan Lee, Jayden Lee, and Kutter Ford; brothers, Leon Rodgers, and John W. Rodgers and wife, Sharon; as well as other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Kelly-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
