Kenny Ray Richardson

Kenny Ray Richardson, 68, formerly of Vidor, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2022, in Houston, Texas.

He was born in Athens, Texas, on July 5, 1953. Kenny was the son of Letha Merle (Holman) Richardson and Paul David Richardson. He was a certified public accountant, having graduated from Vidor High School and the University of Houston. He worked many years for Bechtel Corporation in Houston and then San Francisco before returning to Houston to work as an independent CPA. Feeding and naming neighborhood squirrels and stray cats gave him great pleasure, as did gardening and baking. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Letha Richardson.

Kenny is survived by two brothers: David Richardson and wife Katherine of Beaumont and Jeff Richardson of Vidor; nieces and nephews: Amber Yates & her children Derek and Rachel Webb, Katelyn McClung and husband Kyle, Alex Richardson and wife Lauren & their son Jack Richardson, and Sharla Richardson; and longtime friend Byron Thomas of Houston.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and the funeral at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Claybar-Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
