Jose Luis Perales, 61, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church in Beaumont, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Minifie of Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas.
Visitation time will be held the evening before from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at LaBrie Claybar Funeral Services in Beaumont, Texas, with a Rosary at 7:30 pm..
He was born on January 10, 1965, in Monterrey, Mexico, and spent his formative years growing up in Saltillo, Mexico. Jose Luis followed his family to the United States and had been a resident of Beaumont since 1991. A passionate lover of soccer, Jose Luis dedicated his time to coaching in the Golden Triangle Soccer League, where he led his teams to many championships. Sundays were cherished soccer days, spent with his family and team, reflecting his deep love for the sport and his loved ones.
Jose Luis is survived by his his mother, Victoria Perales; his wife, Margarita Ruiz Perales; his children, Jose Luis Perales, Jr. and his wife Kristen, Perla Sifuentes and her husband Gerardo, Jose Antonio Perales and his wife Jacquelin, Luis Carlos Perales, and stepson Luis Angel Davila and his wife Mary. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Ronaldo Perales, Rosalind Perales, Julian Perales, Adrian Sifuentes, Mateo Sifuentes, Samuel Sifuentes, Giovanni Perales, Gabriela Davila, and Angela Davila. He is also survived by his siblings, Flor, Guadalupe, Jesus, Maria Ines, Sandra, and Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Perales.
