JoAnn King Janise

JoAnn King Janise, 72, of Beaumont, passed away on February 20, 2020, in Beaumont.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2020, at Haven of Rest Cemetery in China, Texas.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 24, 2020, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Born in Lafayette, Indiana, on August 3, 1947, she was the daughter of Martin Gunn and Jessie (Pennington) Gunn. JoAnn was a blue glass collector, and enjoyed antiquing. Every chance she got, she made sure to drive and see the bluebonnets. On Thursdays without avail, she met her girls at Casa Ole to visit and enjoy time together. JoAnn will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Gunn.

She is survived by her mother, Jessie Gunn; daughter, Leslie King and wife Misty of Buna; brother, Bruce Gunn and wife Renee of Utah, Dennis Gunn and wife Chris of Utah; sister, Peggy Anderson of Beaumont; and sister-in-law, Bobbie Cordray and husband David of Beaumont; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
