Jessie Margaret Pennington Gunn

Jessie Margaret Pennington Gunn, 98, of Beaumont, died Thursday, December 17, 2020.

Visitation will be held at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home on Monday, December 21, 2020, beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont. Officiating will be Mr. Dennis Gunn and Bishop Kevin Malouf.

Born in Collinsville, Oklahoma on August 24, 1922, she was the daughter of Ben D. Pennington and Emma A. Goodger Pennington. She had worked as a receptionist with the I Have A Dream organization.

She was a long-time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where all of her assignments were faithfully accomplished and she was known for performing many acts of kindness.

Mrs. Gunn was very well read. By reading, she was able to teach herself about many different things and topics. She was an excellent cook and was never afraid to try something new. Another of her enjoyments was traveling and visiting flea markets and antique stores.

Mrs. Gunn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin A. Gunn and her daughter, Joann E. Janise. She is survived by her children, Bruce Gunn and his wife, Renae of Coose Bay, Oregon, Dennis L. Gunn and his wife, Christine of LaVerkin, Utah, and Peggy Anderson of Beaumont; grandchildren, Leslie King, Jennifer Anderson,

Mignonne Gardner, Michael Gunn, Jessie Gunn, Laura Cabrera, Hunter Smith, and 10 great grandchildren.
