A Life Remembered

Obituary

James W. Beaty, 78, of Beaumont passed away August 3, 2015 at his residence. A service honoring his Lord and celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Claybar Kelley Watkins Chapel. Visitation will be on Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 from 5-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Private interment will be in the Haven of Rest Cemetery.

James was born September 10, 1936 in Chester, Texas to the late Warren Bennett and Lillie Ruth (Spurlock) Beaty and lived all of his life in Southeast, Texas. During much of his life he worked in produce sales. James was a faithful and devoted Christian and was a volunteer Lay Preacher.

For many years, he faithfully led worship services for the residents of the Clairmont Nursing Home. James loved to preach the gospel. James was also a talented singer and musician and could play almost any instrument.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, T.S. Beaty of Beaumont and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.
