Ineta "Etoy" Ellzey

Ineta “Etoy” Ellzey, 87, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on October 18, 2019, at her home in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2019, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Born in Plainview, Louisiana, on February 4, 1932. She was the daughter of Charlie Richmond Thaxton and Lucinda Armora (Stewart) Thaxton. Etoy enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and gardening. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Ellzey; her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Ellzey; and 10 of her siblings.

She is survived by her children, Darlene Galbreath of Beaumont, Ken Ellzey of Kountze, Dean Ellzey and wife Dana of Silsbee, and Karen Havens and husband Cliff of Beaumont; her grandchildren, Cristy Keys and husband Jeremy, John Galbreath IV and wife Melissa, Lauren Ellzey and fiancé, Andre Adams, Lane Ellzey and wife Heather, Austin Ellzey, Justin Ellzey, and Colton Havens; her great-grandchildren, John Galbreath V, Jaxon Galbreath, Macie Ellzey, Morgan Ellzey, and Ellie Adams; and her sisters, Maurlene Hardin and Para Lea Thaxton.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lane Ellzey, John Galbreath IV, Justin Ellzey, Colton Havens, Cliff Havens, John Galbreath V, Jaxon Galbreath, and Austin Ellzey.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the staff at Kindred Hospice, especially, Erica Broussard, Kristin Wilson, Heather Mires, Jan Crowe, and Meagan Roebuck, for their loving care.
