Obituary

Funeral services for Elizabeth Hamilton, 85, of Beaumont will be held May 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Gonzales, Louisiana. Entombment will follow in Hope Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m. Friday at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.

A resident of Calder Woods for the past three years, Elizabeth was a former longtime resident of Gonzales, Louisiana and a member of First United Methodist Church of Gonzales. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and cherished her many friends at Calder Woods and in her home town community of Gonzales.

She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Sherry Hamilton of Richardson, Texas, Hank and Pam Hamilton of Beaumont, Rick and Regina Hamilton of Columbus, Ohio, Bill and Meredith Hamilton of Destrehan, Louisiana; brother, Henry Stiker of Cary, North Carolina; sister Marilyn Vollmer of Mobile, Alabama; and eight grandchildren, Alison, Scott, Alex, Matt, Ben, Kelly, David and Sara Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hamilton, her parents and two brothers.

I was wondering where Eliz was and thought she was getting older. When I searched, I found this orbit. Even though I am a year late in acknowledging her death, I wanted the family to know that she was most loved by myself.
