A Life Remembered

Obituary

Farrell Soileau

Farrell Bob Soileau passed away on July 1, 2022, at the age of 74. Born in Ville Platte, LA, and a longtime resident of Sour Lake, TX, he passed with family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elved and Delia Soileau, his sister Deanna Feagin, and his wife Lollie. He is survived by his sons Raymond Soileau, Bobby Horton, and Billy Horton, his stepson Scott Garrett, and his sister JoAnn Cox.

After serving in the US Navy, Farrell spent 38 years working at a local refinery as an instrument technician while raising a family. Along the way he became an active member of the church. Religion became a big part of his life and he enjoyed helping others whenever he could. His knowledge and love for carpentry, mechanics, and electrical work was frequently shared with others. When he wasn't helping others, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with loved ones. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to assist those in need will be missed.

Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Friday, July 8th at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont, TX.

A memorial in his honor will be held at 10am on Saturday, July 9th at First Baptist Church in Sour Lake, TX

Farrell lived and shared his love for the Lord through his life by being an example for others to follow. I remember him volunteering at the hospital and always wearing and sharing his smile. He came to visit Mom when she was hospitalized and was a great support during that difficult time. He and Lollie were always sending cards to brighten those who were needing picking up MAy he rest In Peace. Prayers go to Joann and his family.
