Ernie B. Wilkerson

Ernie Wilkerson, 87, was born May 2, 1926 in San Augustine, TX to Emery and Rosa Lee Byley Wilkerson and passed away August 12, 2013 in Beaumont, TX. Ernie was a long time resident of Beaumont, working as an electrician with Mobil Oil Company of Beaumont. He was a Seaman with the US Navy during World War II, serving in the American Area and Asiatic-Pacific Theatres serving on several ships.

A gathering of family and friends will take place Tuesday, August 13 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 14 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Reverend David Goolsby officiating.

Mr. Wilkerson is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law; Randy and Tammy, Mike and Judy and Jay and Elaine Wilkerson, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Verlyn Mitchell.
