Obituary

Elmer Lee Queen, 80, of Orange, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at his residence.

Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Elmer Lee was born January 23, 1928, in Cheyenne, KS, to Leslie V. and Jane Eileen Stewart Queen.

Elmer Lee served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Alpha Portland Cement Plant in Echo.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Kochis and brother, Leslie Queen.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Daveyne Queen, children and their spouses, Michael and Melanie Queen, Gentry and Renee Queen, Vicki and Michael Lothrop and Dana and Carl Trussell; brother Wesley Queen, sisters, Dorothy Duran and Donelda Hawley; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

I am really sorry to hear of your loss. I think of the times that I was at the house and Mr Queen would pick at me. I always enjoyed visiting there.
