Edna Lee Byrd

Edna Lee Byrd, 91, of Beaumont, passed away on May 27, 2022 at Focus Care in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. June 1, 2022 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Born in Texarkana, Texas, on August 18, 1930 she was the daughter of Felton and Lucy Westmoreland. Edna was a family woman who loved having fun and making everyone smile. She loved many things including card games, dominoes, music, and dancing like no one was watching. Edna lived for several years overseas with her husband William and loved traveling extinsively with him. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she never hesitated when it came to taking care of them. Edna will be greatly missed by family, friends, and everyone she had a impact on.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Felton and Lucy Westmoreland; husband, William C. Byrd; son, Dennis Byrd; granddaughter, Dena Byrd; and siblings, Junior Westmoreland, Marie Clark, and Betty Patterson.

She is survived by her sons, Eddie Byrd and wife Cora and Gary Byrd; daughter, Cindy Bienvenu; 6 grandchildren, Kim Johnson, Angie and Ryan Morgan, Matt and Bonnie Byrd, Andrea Byrd, Jessica and Dave Foster, and John Paul Byrd; as well as 7 great-grandchildren and brother, Ed Westmoreland (Phyllis).
