Eddie Arnold Fink

I was so saddened to hear of Eddie's passing. Happy Donuts has always been one of my favorite places to visit. Whenever I wanted breakfast in Lumberton, yours was the first place I thought of because of how wonderfully kind and welcoming Eddie always was. Keeping you and your family in my prayers.

We lost you too soon my dearest friend. I am forever grateful of the bond we made and the moments we shared for over 25 years. I hate so much there is no future where I can call you, laugh over your jokes, meet up for a beer, and have our solid talks & drive around Texas. Every year my birthday trip was to come from SanDiego to see you and hang out. There will be so many moments ahead in my life that I will want to share with you. Our loss is unspeakable, unexpected & unexplainable. I know you will keep watch over Nary and the kids, your family, and your friends. We will continue on but we will all miss you incredibly. Until I see you again. We always ended our calls with "love ya" and that doesn't stop for me.

Thank you for being so kind and welcoming when you hired me at happy donuts years ago. You were one of a kind boss , a great man to nary and the kids but most of all a dedicated man with a big dream alongside mrs nary who loved his customers and family. Rest in peace Ed . My heart goes out to your mrs nary and to your children.

I sent my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Eddie.Eddie was an amazing man. Every single time I walked in the doughnut shop he would greet me a smile my order by memory. Him and his wife Nary always serve the best donuts and kolache’s. Eddie wasn’t just the guy you saw behind the counter serving you donuts. He was a friend too many, he was someone’s brother, uncle, cousin, dad, and he was a husband who always stayed by his wife’s side. Eddie was truly an amazing human being who always be in our memory.

Our deepest condolences to the family. He was such a kind and thoughtful neighbor and will truly be missed. We will always remember his kindness, especially the times he would bring us donuts just because. Those small acts meant more than he probably ever knew. Our thoughts and prayers are with yall durning this tough time. We both really enjoyed coming in to get donuts when we were able to. Ed was always very kind and took care of his customers and he always knew what his regulars wanted to get. He will be surely missed for sure.

Ed and Nary both always greeted my family and knew that I liked a breakfast taco and would make one up fresh for me every time. Ed was a kind man and our community will truly miss him. Love and prayers to Nary and his family.

I first got to know Ed when I started doing DoorDash several years ago and every time I would come into the shop he knew right away. I was either there to get a DoorDash order or he knew what my favorite specialty was that I like on the menu, which was a Boudin kolache so I didn’t even have to say anything. He automatically had it in the bag when I came in and he would have it heated up nice and warm in the microwave and either I would usually get an orange juice. so I didn’t even have to say anything. But Ed always knew exactly what I was coming in there for he knew it was either DoorDash or my favorite Boudin kolache and he would always have a nice conversation with me and treated me like family and he did the same for all the other customers when you walked in there, not only did you become a friend to him, but he got to know exactly what you were coming in there for and he treated you like family. This is somebody who will truly be missed, not only by myself, but so many others in the community and all around. He was a good man and like I said he’ll be missed, but I will always remember him for his generosity and his kindness not only to me but to other people and my condolences to his wife and children and I offer my prayers. Rest in peace you will certainly be missed man.

Ed was an amazing guy. He was very funny and easy going and I enjoyed working for him and his family. He gave me alot of great life advice and I will always appreciate him

So very sad for the passing of Mr. Ed. What a kind man. He loved his family and his community. He will be missed. Prayers for the family.
