Dorothy Jean Ellis

Dorothy Jean McCurley Ellis, 79, of Bridge City, died, Sunday, October 14, 2007, at Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born January 4, 1928, in Port Arthur, the daughter of George Bryan McCurley and Jane Ann Partin.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard L. Ellis, son, Alan Royce Ellis, her parents, George and Jane McCurley and her brothers, George McCurley and Melvin McCurley.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Ann Risher and husband Harry of Bridge City, Glenda Diane Mudd and husband Archie of Arkansas, sons, John Kent Ellis and wife Dorothy of Satsuma, FL, David Joel Ellis and wife Rita of Bridge City, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
