Donald Anthony Borel Sr.

Donald Anthony Borel, Sr., 87, of Beaumont was born April 10, 1931 in Beaumont, Texas to William and Viola Borel and passed away July 30, 2018 in Beaumont.

A celebration of his life is being planned for Monday, August 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends is being planned from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Will Borel, Anthony Borel, Chase Borel, Adam Borel, John Ruth, Matt Fuller and Aaron Bonvillion.

Mr. Borel was an accountant and retired from the State of Texas Department of Transportation and was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Madlyn Leona (Edwards) Borel.

He is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Nancy Borel of Beaumont, Jim and Marcy Borel of Sour Lake, Scott and Michele Borel of China; 7 grandchildren, Ashley Ruth and husband, John, Whitney Fuller and husband, Matt, Will Borel and wife, Tracy, Melissa Bonvillion and husband, Aaron, Anthony Borel, Chase Borel and Adam Borel; 3 great-grandchildren, Will “Trip” Borel III, Kennedy Borel and Violet Fuller.
