Obituary
Danny Ray Davis, 72, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on June 29, 2022, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Brian Faulk.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas.
Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, Louisiana.
Born on January 27, 1950, Danny was the son of Leonard Ray Davis and Syble Rebecca Davis, of Beaumont. He had lived in the Vidor area since 1971 and retired from Texas Eastern Pipeline Co. in 1995 after many years of loyal service. Danny was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Syble Davis; and his brother, Donald Davis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Priscilla Jean Davis, of Vidor; daughters, Kelly Jean Ard and husband John, of Vidor, and Jennie “Toot Frog” Mudd and husband Carlos, of Vidor; sisters, Pamela Galindo and Ginger Chambers; grandchildren, Shane Dorn “Boo”, Amanda McHam “Nanna Bug”, Tobie Fontenot “Toot”, Ryan Ard “Rye Rye”, and Colton Mudd “Colt”; great-grandchildren, Kylie Smith, Taylor Dorn, McKenna Dorn, Elijah Fontenot, and Zander Tarver.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Dorn, Terry Hardy, Colton Mudd, George Galindo, Carlos Mudd, Jerry Hardy, Ryan Ard, and Donald Davis. Honorary pallbearers are John Ard, Brandon Tarver, Randy Chambers, Butch Davis, Buddy Hardin, and Phillip Alford.
