Barbara Ann Gillett

Barbara Ann Gillett, 73, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2022, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care in Silsbee, Texas.

A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fannett. Officiating will be Reverend Ethan Oaks.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on December 27, 1948, she was the daughter of Moise Brasseaux and Helen Hanks Brasseaux. Barbara was a selfless woman with a servant’s heart. She was known for ministering to others and always being willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Barbara found great joy in spending time with and cooking for her loved ones. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who was always able to spread a smile to everyone around her and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Moise and Helen Brasseaux; her first husband, Philip Carlin; and her son, Shane Carlin.

She is survived by daughters, Cherri Carlin, and Charity Hein and husband Edward, all of Fannett; her grandchildren, Billy Hill III and wife Marla, Kristin Gloede and husband David, Megan Carlin, Joey Howard, Alyssa Carlin, and Landon Hein; her great-grandchildren, Cami Gloede, Kanin Gloede, and Gunner Gloede; and her siblings, Marty Brasseaux and wife Freida and Gwendolyn Boudreaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Joey Howard, Edward Hein, Billy Hill III, and Landon Hein.
